Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Full Body Р95 minutes. Targeted Areas (eg. Legs) Р45 minutes. (£65, £45)

Manual lymphatic drainage is an advanced therapy whereby a range of specialised, gentle pumping and stroking techniques are used to move lymph toward the lymph nodes and ducts.

MLD helps to clear lymphatic blockages, metabolic wastes and toxins from the body & so reduces lymphoedema, odema, fluid retention and cellulite. MLD boosts immune levels, and can be helpful in the management of ME and CFF. It also calms the nervous system and is very good for relieving stress and tension. It boosts collagen fibres and reduces puffiness and improves the appearance of skin.

Over 70% of lymph vessels are found within the skin so the strokes are very light but extremely relaxing. A course of treatments may be recommended for some conditions.

When the lymphatic system becomes blocked, fluid builds up and stagnates, causing the entire system to become toxic and less effective. This manifests itself as lethargy, fluid retention and an increased susceptibility to viral or contagious diseases.

Manual lymphatic drainage causes a chain reaction, a wave of contractions within the lymphatic system, a stretching and recoiling of lymphatic vessels. This literally pushes the lymph through the vessels towards the nodes and ducts, where it is filtered, redistributed or eliminated and in turn this boosts the immune system, clears blockages, eliminates toxins, transports nutrients to cells and increases the metabolism.

I was diagnosed with ME in November 2011 and I have incorporated manual lymphatic drainage into my recovery programme. Natasha’s experience and expertise instil confidence in you. She is an exceptionally reassuring person to be around, fun but relaxed. Her treatments have without doubt assisted with my continuing recovery.
